Flame Arrester is used for preventing of flame transmission any more when an explosion is occurred inside of the piping which is full of explosive mixed gas. It's known as inflammability prevention equipment, reverse flame prevention equipment from old day. It's limits so as not to be occurred extension of damage when explosion is occurred in chemical equipment or the progress of work.
In addition to, if safety equipment of this kind is installed you can prevent from big calamities occasionally. Function of Flame Arrester is to stop of flame when it's extraordinary. It need practically not to disturb flowage of gas of piping inside in common operation condition.
There is several methods of principle to prevent extension of flame method by stick of water, interception of a pipe conduit by detection of flame or scattering of inactivity material but there's some practical problems as easiness of usage, reliance, a response, economical efficiency. Also, there are water seals, packed beds, velocity-type arrestion device.

The Flame Arrester of Model KSFI is designed manufactured, and tested according to API 2000 & BS 7244(British Standard Specification) code.
Installed in the top nozzle of the several kinds of the flammable low pressure storage tank(the ignition point below 65¡É), it is the explosion proof and deflagration proof which blocks the influx of flame ignified externally into the tank.
In general it is combined with pressure and vacuum relief valve(KSBB Model), and designed to provide a large quantity of flow under the small pressure differences.
Designed to use for the transport line of the flammable low pressure gas and installed in a IN-LINE SYSTEM, like the pipe line which transfer the flammable gas to the inclinator flame shell or the discharging line of combusted gas to the air, it blocks the spread of ignified fire.

The model KSFH inline flame arrester is designed, manufactured and tested according to API 2000.
British Standard Specification Code BS 7244, EN 12874 and FM(Factory Mutual) approved.
The unit are passive devices with no moving parts.
They prevent the propagation of flame from the exposed side of the unit to the protected side by the use of a 316L stainless steel crimped metal ribbon type flame cell element.
This construction produces a matrix of uniform opening that are carefully constructed to quench the flame by absorbing the heat.
This provides an extinguishing barrier to the ignited vapor mixture.
The KSFH flame arresters have specifically designed heat transfer characteristics for slow moving flames and low medium pressure fronts (low to medium deflagration).
Inline flame arresters can be installed either vertically or horizontally within a designated distance from the potential ignition extras.
The standard flame cell is suitable for NEC group D or IEA IIA gases. Cells for other gas groups are available as additional extras.
The flame arresters are available with either aluminum, nodular iron, cast steel, 304SSss, 316SS and 316LSS housings, Iron and steel housings are supplied epoxy coated.

The KSFE flame arrester are designed, manufactured and tested according to API 2000 and BS 7244 (British Standard Specification) code and EN 12874.
The units allow free venting in combination with flame protection for vertical vent application.
They prevent flame propagation by absorbing and dissipating heat using spiral wound crimped ribbon 316LSS flame cells.
The KSFE unit gives the protection needed. For size 4¡± and under after ignition of the out flowing gases a fusible element melts, thee spring loaded cover automatically opens and the full surface of the flame arrester is exposed so that the flame arrester element will not attain the ignition temperature through heat absorption.
Housing construction are Aluminum, Cast Iron, Cast Steel, 304SS and 316LSS.
Size are from 20mm through to 300mm.
Cast iron and cast steel units are epoxy coated both inside and outside.

The model KSFD inline detonation flame arrester is designed, manufactured and tested according to API 2000, British Standard Specification Code BS 7244, EN 12874, USCG and IMO MSC/Circ,677.
The KSFD detonation flame arresters provide protection against flame propagation in piping systems that are manifolded or have long runs.
The arresters are designed to stop an ignited flammable vapor mixture travelling at subsonic or supersonic vapor velocities.
They are also designed to protect against continuous burning against the 316LSS flame cell for a specific period.
The atandard flame cell is suitable for NEC group D or IEC IIA gases. Cells for other gas groups are available as additional extras.
The flame arresters are available with either carbon steel (expoxy coated), 304SS, or 316SS housing with 316LSS flame cells.
Sizes range from 25mm to 300mm.
Standard flanges are ANSI 150lb and other connections are available upon request.
